Partner, Marketing & Operations
“Let's just give this everything we got. We may fall on our faces, but if we do we will fall with dignity! With guitars in our hands and rock in our hearts!"
~Dewey Finn, The School of Rock
Dinah McLean has written every job description at Click but has never had one herself—and that’s just the way she likes it. In part because “marketing and operations” encompasses anything from designing client marketing initiatives, to inventing new systems that help the Click team function more efficiently, to writing this here website. Mostly, however, she likes the flexibility of walking into the Click office, seeing what needs to be done that day, and getting it squared away, whether that means analyzing a report or brainstorming the perfect pithy Tweet.
As Marketing and Operations Partner, Dinah is the yin to Mac’s yang; the “surgery” to his “triage;” the budget for his best-laid plans. As Click has gone from a two-person operation to a premiere full-service agency, Dinah has been the one behind the scenes building infrastructure, bringing departments together and finding efficiencies. As Team Click expands, she continues to approach every task as an opportunity to reinforce Click’s core values of excellence, honesty, hard work, and generally just trying to do the right thing.
This approach comes from years of leadership experience in entertainment marketing. Prior to founding Click in 2007, she was a Regional Sales & Marketing Director and National Account Manager for Ticketmaster, where she led a team of marketing and promotion managers across eleven western markets and executed marketing initiatives for national tours. Her well-rounded resume includes experience ranging from high-tech PR, to radio promotions, to field marketing for movie studios. She’s a writer with a novel in the works, holds a BA in Journalism, and is a long-time Luminary Member and supporter of the Step Up Women’s Network charity organization.
When she isn’t at her desk in Click’s “Fort Fox” surrounded by her extensive Wonder Woman collection, Dinah enjoys family time with Mac, their son, and their rescue mutts Captain Awesome and Ms. Moneypenny. She loves testing new recipes on willing friends, diving into new books, films or TV shows, and compiling thematic playlists for every occasion. She believes there are valuable life lessons to be learned from watching “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” calls almost everyone “doll,” and never met a pun she didn’t like.
