Click Communications is seeking an energetic self-starter who’s passionate about online media, works fast and loves movies and/or TV to join the team as a Publicity Intern. This person will learn about various aspects of the film industry as well as effective online publicity and marketing while assisting with the day-to-day operations of servicing our clients’ needs. Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
•Creating and sending pitches; following up and tracking progress
•Creative brainstorming and assisting with various promotional efforts
•Researching new media contacts and building press database
•Tracking coverage for publicity campaigns, delivering preliminary and intermediate coverage reports
•Assisting with the creation of final publicity reports
•Assist publicists with product shipping and link tracking as needed
•Various tasks as needed
This is an internship position for someone hungry to learn about online outreach from the best in the business. Must be passionate about TV, movies, and/or home entertainment. Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel and Powerpoint. Students in a field of study pertaining to the publicity and marketing industry preferred (Communications, Business or Journalism). Resume and Cover Letter are required. Students should have a strong academic record (3.0 strongly preferred), good character and reliable transportation. Students must have completed their sophomore year in college prior to the start of the internship. In addition, students must still be enrolled in school during the time of the internship.
Internship positions are unpaid and must be taken for college credit, as we are accepting college students only. Interns will work closely with a supervisor and our entire team on local publicity and promotions. One quarter or semester minimum commitment is required. Approx. 10 – 15 hours a week, very flexible, will work around student’s schedule. Interviews will begin in early summer for the semester or quarter starting May 2017.
